PJSC “State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine” transports grain by internal territorial waters of the Dnieper as part of performing its export obligations to its partners. In particular, PJSC “SFGCU” purchased feed barley for export to North Africa at the river terminals of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.
The main parcel of goods was loaded on the sea vessel at the branch of PJSC “SFGCU” “Mykolaiv Port Elevator”. After loading, the vessel proceeded to the external roads of Mykolaiv Sea Port (Bank Trutaev) for additional loading of barley, transported from the river terminals.
We remind that the Corporation owns two river terminals (Holoprystanskyi and Velykolepetyskyi Elevators) with capacity of grains reloading to water transport. Transportation of grain cargoes by river with subsequent roads reloading to the sea vessels by one of the largest Ukrainian grain exporters – PJSC “SFGCU” – is an alternative to cargo delivery to the port by railway or motor transport and it lessens tension in grain logistics.
