PJSC “SFGCU” INCREASED GRAINS SALES TO THE GLOBAL MARKET

PJSC “State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine” confidently increases rates of agricultural goods export. The Corporation has increased grains supplies to external buyers by 12.24% in the current marketing year.

Indeed, PJSC “SFGCU” exported 1,329 mln. tons of grains during 9 months of 2017/18 MY, whereas it has exported 1,492 mln. tons of grain during 9 months of 2018/19 MR. At the same time, 324,2 ths. tons of grains were shipped for export in March of this year, which exceeds the result of March of 2018 by 28,5% or 252,3 ths. tons of grain.
Corn has become the main export crop. Volume of its sales has increased by 60% or 1,18 mln. tons compared to last year. This figure has been achieved not only due to the record corn harvest in 2018, but also due to effective management and successful sales strategy. Thus, according to results of 2018, the Corporation ranked sixth among the TOP-10 exporters of Ukrainian corn with a share of 5.65% from all supplies totaling to 21,4 mln. tons.
The main buyers of PJSC “SFGCU” grains were Austria, France, Portugal, the Netherlands, Italy, Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, Bangladesh and China. Supplies to third countries were made through CCEC, the general partner of PJSC “SFGCU”.

As it was previously reported, CCEC received increased quotas for corn import from Ukraine to the PRC in 2019. PJSC “SFGCU” confirmed the readiness to ship the necessary volumes of goods.
